Red Beach Outrigger Canoe Club (RBOCC) has a trial period for all “new paddlers” where they have 4 paddling sessions to decide whether they like the club and sport of Waka Ama (Outrigger Canoe Paddling) before they are required to join the club to continue paddling.
Red Beach Outrigger Canoe Club Yearly Fees: $100 As a paid member of the Red Beach Outrigger Canoe Club, your fees go towards: insurance of all club assets, maintenance on all club owned canoes Registration fees and maintenance fees of all club trailers, waka trolley maintenance club running expenses and affiliation fee for WANZ and AROCA.
AROCA is the regional body for Waka Ama in Auckland and the AROCA fee is an annual fee payable per paddler per year to this organisation as of October 2016. As an affiliated club, it is our responsibility to collect the AROCA fee off each club member and pass this onto AROCA. The AROCA fees are: $10 per Open/Senior (20 years and over), $5 per Junior (14 to 19 years) and $5 per Midget/Intermediate (13 years and under). Note: Uniforms, regatta fees, canoe towing and your own paddle are in addition to this fee.
